About Family and Consumer Sciences
Family and Consumer Sciences programs focus on a variety of issues facing today's families. Putting knowledge to work in Ohio's Families is our main objective. We offer a variety of research-based programs and resources helping people find a balance between their work, home and personal lives. Stress and time management, quick meals, healthy eating, setting priorities and parenting are just a few of the topics offered to aide families in achieving this goal. The diversity of today's families and their needs encompasses many aspects of the Family and Consumer Sciences program. Several other areas that we provide leadership to are elder care and care giving issues, teen pregnancy prevention, family life skills, management of financial and personal resources and child care. A wide variety of programs and workshops and hundred's of fact sheets, pamphlets and publications are just a few of the ways in which we share our information with county clientele.
