Community Development relates to Leadership Development, Volunteer Development, Networking & Collaborating with Community Agencies, Social Issues and Public Awareness. Community Development also relates to the overall growth and management of a community including land use planning, communty needs, and community economic growth and development. Community Development is an interdisciplinary approach to developing local leadership. Extension programming centers on leadership development for Extension and other volunteer groups. To meet current and emerging concerns, networking with agricultural and other community service agencies to address community issues remains a high priority
