As the consumer demand for fresh fruits and vegetables increases, the opportunity for Trumbull County agricultural producers to provide a direct market for these products is ever increasing. Ohio State University Extension in Trumbull County is a key source of information and technical assistance to the producer. A team of hotticultural specialist in the area as well as state specialist at Ohio State University and OARDC, the research arm of the land grant system, are available to assist with production practice information, disease and insect identification and control information, and marketing strategies.
